Becoming a live-in carer is a brilliant way to earn a good and regular income whilst being able to contribute to a great profession. If you consider yourself a kind hearted, good spirited, patient and a super reliable (++) person then this maybe the career for you. As a live in care assistant/housekeeper you would be living with your client weeks at a time within their own home, providing companionship, housekeeping and personal care. Other professionals such as district nurses, community nurses and social workers may work with you as part of a team ensuring that your client has the right level of support to remain living independently and safely at home. Whilst working with us, you can be sure to receive a high standard of regular training, a good regular income and a good level of ingoing support from the company. You will also have the chance to meet some amazing people, share great stories and be rewarded in doing what you do best.

Have you got what it takes?

We will expect that who ever gets to the first interview stage to be genuinely interested in caring for others as well as having an equal interest in the profession of caring on a whole. Being a good carer is not just about being able to empty a catheter bag or using a patient hoist, its about much more than that. True empathy, kindness, professionalism and compassion are just some of the qualities we are looking for in every single carer, nurse and support worker we employ. The type of person you are will be the type of care you give! We employ people not just qualifications and we would only encourage you to join us if you think you have what it takes to contribute to others in order to make their lives as fulfilled and happy as possible.

Some of our team go on to become an advanced trained carers. These carers will not only be trained in all of the common induction standards such as First Aid, Manual Handling etc but will also be trained in subjects such as suctioning, oxygen therapy for children and adults, managing a patient using ventilation P.E.G, A.L.S and much more. This training is not always for everyone and we will decide who we think is cut out to take on these extended roles and (sometimes high pressured) responsibilities.
