We are proud to announce that with our new telephone system
The cost of calling the office and other work colleagues will be eliminated for our care team. We will be unveiling a new scheme whereby our established care and support workers will be issued with a new smart phone that will link in to our very own care server. Here they will able to make free phone calls to the office rather than using their own phone, sometimes running up massive phone bills thus cutting their well earned pay.
There are lots of other functions and benefits such as completing time sheets electronically and receiving work schedules on the hand held device. As part of our lone worker policy, our team will also have the advantage of being able to activate the panic alarm that tells us their location to ten feet if they or their client are (for any reason) in trouble and need assistance.
The CRB is now the new DBS
On 1 December 2012 the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA) merged to become the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The primary role of the DBS is to help employers make safer recruitment decisions and prevent unsuitable people from working with vulnerable groups including children. The services and processes carried out by the CRB and ISA have not changed, although a rebranding exercise is being carried out.
We continue to be an umbrella body with the DBS. This means that we are able to proses our own DBS forms and not have to rely on other companies that can be more timely within the recruitment process.
